Chair Cross country jump - POA
The Chair Horse Jump is a solid Australian timber cross country jump and does not fall down. It is a portable jump that is similar to things a horse will find out in the country. Note that horse jumping events started with riders riding out into the country before there were arena jumping events. So, many of the jumps and training jumps will represent natural jumps like our Chair Horse Jump. This jump is supplied with instructions, all ready for you to assemble it easily. Having a different jump like the Arrow will create a more competitive training arena for your riders and horses.
The chair is much like the angle which has to be jumped at an angle as opposed to straight on. The angle of the fence, the number of angle fences to be jumped and the number of strides in between each fence will determine the level of difficulty.
Did you know that most of the first competitors in horse jumping were in the military? In the 19th century, cavalry schools began to pop up in Italy, France and Austria and show jumping competitions started to take place regularly. The first international equestrian jumping show took place in 1907 in England with many of its competitors hailing from a military background. As the events grew in popularity, they were opened up for civilians too.
