Slippery Elm Bark Powder is the finely powdered inner bark of the Red Elm trees that are native to North America. This has been used by indigenous people for many years and is now employed by both herbal and orthodox medicines.

For horses, slippery elm bark powder is most commonly used internally, to treat conditions such as diarrhoea and gastric ulceration and as aftercare in some types of colic cases. It soothes and coats injured and inflamed tissues, helping them to heal and reducing the likelihood of scarring, as well as drawing out toxins and irritants.

Slippery Elm Bark Powder contains calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, selenium, zinc, vitamins B1, B2, B3 and C.

Soothes and protects inflamed tissue
Highly beneficial for the treatment and/or preventative maintenance of equine gastric ulcers
Regulates intestinal flora in the gut
May assist with the management of diarrhoea and in the aftercare of some colic cases

DOSAGE:

20g – 40g daily. (Dosage rate is based on a 500 kg horse, adjust dosage rate if required)

Scoop provided is approximately 20g.

DIRECTION OF USE:

Tyalla Naturals slippery elm bark powder can be mixed in its dry state to your horses dampened feed.

Discontinue immediately at any sign of adverse reaction.
