Electrolyte muffins are ideal for traveling and competing horses where rapid, convenient and easy administered electrolyte replacement is required.   

Electrolytes are responsible for the correct function of nerves and muscles. They also help maintain normal hydration and are integral in maintaining the functioning of the digestive system, and the other vital organs.

Electrolyte imbalance can lead to muscle problems and poor performance. Since electrolytes cannot be stored in the body, the amount available to the horse is dependent on electrolyte intake compared to natural losses through sweat, urine and faeces.

    HOW DO YOU FEED

    Every horse is different and will metabolise at different rates.

    Electrolyte Muffins are safe to use long term.

    For Travel, administer one Electrolyte Muffin one about 60 minutes prior to travelling.

    For Racing or Competitions, horse administer one Electrolyte Muffin the night before the event, one about 60 minutes prior to the race or competition and one post event.

    (Dose rates are based on a 500kg horse)

    Feed directly to the horse like a treat or mix into their feed.  If the horse is fussy, introduce a smaller amount gradually to their feed until the whole muffin is eaten prior to the event, then feed as normal.

    Discontinue immediately at any sign of adverse reaction.  Do not feed to pregnant mares.

    This product should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sun light.

    Best results for freshness is to keep in the freezer.  Muffins can last up to 3 months in the freezer.
